More Pictures? You're welcome.

I still can't believe I'm a Mom of two. TWO babies. Unbelievable! It is definitely an adjustment. Takes me FOREVER to get out of the house. I usually make it out after about two outfit changes, three or four diaper changes, and a feeding or two. Yeah, I can't commit to go anywhere or be somewhere at a certain time. I need to get this down first. Of course, we can't stop taking pictures of a sleeping baby...he is still working on smiling (and looking) at the camera. But one of these days, we will get it down. Until then...just imagine snuggling with this little cutie! I don't know if I mentioned this in the last post but Sam got a hair cut! Yes, I'm still a little bit heart broken for those adorable curls that are now gone. But he sure is a cute big boy!Sam is still quite obsessed with his little brother. Constantly wanting to hold him for about 3.2 seconds before he decides he is done and shoves him off his lap. He was in heaven having Grandma here for a few days. They were buddies! She read with him, sang with him and played with him whenever he wanted! And the help was wonderful! Here is Sam's other Grandma. This is Gary's Mom. She and Gary's dad flew in the day my Mom left. It was so fun to spend so much time with them and it was nice to have them here.Anytime someone comes over to our house, Sam wants to take their hand and lead them over to the swing (if Mason is in the swing) and kneel down in front of the swing and just watch the baby. It is hilarious. I'm pretty sure he did this with Gary's Mom about 100 times while she was here.I slacked on a Halloween costume this year. It was actually one of the things we were going to do that Monday...the day we had a list a mile long of the things we were going to do before the baby came...the day the baby came! So, none of those things got done. But here is Mr. Simba. The cutest Simba I've ever seen! He even has a mean ROAR! Sam trick or treating with Eva, his bestest friend in the whole wide world! He loves playing with Eva!Couldn't wait until we got home to break into some candy...wrapper and all!Caught a little smile on this cutie. He actually laughs quite hard in his sleep quite a bit too. I need to just set up a video camera one day. I love that I get to see so many of these cute things since I'm pretty much sitting on the couch all.day.long!Here is Mason in his first real bath. He LOVED that warm water!Snuggling on the couch before bed. I sure love these boys!

This might be my favorite picture as of today...is that possible to have one favorite? I just love those big eyes...that are currently blue!

New Addition...

With the soon to be arrival of our second child, I decided to try to make some special moments with Sam while he was still pretty much the single focus of my attention. Not that I don't try to do this anyway, but you know...make a little more effort and make these 'last days' some fun last days for him. So, a couple weeks ago, we joined some friends and went to the pumpkin patch. These girls are like Sam's big sisters. He gets SO excited to go see them and just loves hanging out with them. He picked out his own pumpkin. Maybe we will carve it tonight while Grandma is still here. This doesn't have to do with anything...other than he LOVES these goggles and I think it's funny.A belly shot taken on Sunday October 16th at 8:30pm. I am 39 weeks 6 days...and FAT! My Mom flew in Sunday night (Oct 16th) late to be here when for I had the baby. I wasn't too worried about having it before she arrived, but the thought did cross my mind. A few weeks ago, I started having dreams over and over every night where my water would break while I was laying in bed sleeping. It started to freak me out, so one night I put some stuff on our mattress to protect it if/when it happened...hoping these crazy dreams would stop. Nope.

My Mom arrived around midnight on Sunday night/Monday morning and while she was waiting for Gary to pick her up, we were texting and she said "Ok, you can go into labor now" - ha. OK. I was actually scheduled to be induced Tuesday morning and we had a huge long list of things to do on Monday which included taking Sam to the Zoo. So, going into labor before Tuesday morning was NOT in the plans.

Well, she got to our house around 1:00. Gary went to bed and mom and I stayed up till about 3:15 just chatting. Finally we went to bed and at 4:45 (yes, just an hour and a half later) my water broke...in bed. EXACTLY the way it has been doing it in my dreams for weeks. I thought it was a dream, until I sat up and continued to feel water leaking and leaking. How much water is IN there anyhow?

So, I woke Gary up and my Mom up...and we tried to figure out what we were going to do. I wasn't expecting it to happen quite like this. We finally figured things out and make our way to the hospital...yes, that is me with a towel between my legs. What a beautiful 'last pregnant' picture, eh? Here is my support group...this was taken between contractions. Yes...painful contractions. Sleeping husband. Awesome. :)

Long story, but after a few hours of labor, it was decided that I needed to have a c-section. Not what I planned and not exactly what I wanted but it had to be done...and here is the cutest baby ever! Man, how do I get so lucky!

Mason Gary Fears - weighed in at 7 lbs. 1 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. SO SO SO much smaller than Sam ever was. I didn't know they came any smaller!

I just can't believe I'm a mom of TWO. WHAT? It is so crazy to think about! It has been a little difficult lately because I can't lift anything but the baby. So Sam is getting the short end of the stick. My Mom is teaching him to do a lot of these things that would normally require lifting...on his own and he is adjusting quite well.

Sam just loves holding him and pointing out his eyes, hair, nose, fingers, toes, etc. It is so fun to have him so excited about the baby. He is obsessed with putting Mason's binki in for him and rocking him in the swing and doing anything he can for him. I hope it continues and that he doesn't start to get jealous or mean...we shall see. For now, we are all just in love with our new family member and can't get enough of him.

Our fun Summer so far

One Saturday we ventured out to the Zoo with a picnic lunch. Sam's favorite part is feeding the ducks.

We went to some friends house for a BBQ and some swimming...another one of Sam's FAVORITE things to do. (And mine too with all this heat we are getting!)

Father's Day has obviously come and gone. But Sam and I made Gary breakfast in bed...Sam jumped up on the bed and started eating Gary's breakfast. Not sure if he got the memo that it was DAD'S day. But Gary liked the company.

A cute thing Sam loves to do is climb up on our bed and just lay there all cute like this. He thinks he is so cute and funny laying in my spot when I walk into the room and its probably true. :)

He also likes to help himself to whatever crackers he can find. On this particular day, he decided to get three different boxes out of the pantry and have himself a feast on the couch. (Note the nice artistic work on the all just above the couch. Yeah, he did that too)

Early July took us up to Utah for a very quick trip. This is Sam's cousin Mckinley sharing a stroller.

Gary and I love to run the Freedom Run every year. So, we did. This time I pushed Sam in the stroller and of course was pregnant...I'm sure people thought I looked a little crazy. I probably did. Sam loved it though, there were so many people to watch the whole way!

Wish I could get this comfortable during a long drive in the car!

The next week, Sam and I flew back up to Utah. This time for a much longer drive...to CANADA! I don't have too many pictures but we had a blast...way too short of a trip, but still worth the long drive.

We went to the Calgary Stampede, of course! Sam was in heaven with all the animals he got to pet. You should hear his animal sounds now!

And of course we had to do a couple rides while we were there.

We left the stampede grounds to go get lunch and to drop Sam off with some family so we could enjoy the chuckwagon races that night.

The show was fabulous...

The next day we made the drive to Banff. Another must see place. So pretty and fun to visit.

I am just sick that I didn't take any pictures with any family. Isn't that lame? I guess I'll just have to make another trip soon! While we were there, my cousin took some cute pictures of Sam. I should get some and post them so you can see the cute pics...and how good my cousin is!

The night we got home, the family got together and did fireworks, here are all the girls watching the boys play with fire.
