Oh HI! It's been a while eh? That's what happens when you have seven weeks to plan a wedding! Let me breifly fill you in on the last six weeks...
A few weeks ago, Gary and I went to Kentucky for a family reunion. It was there that I had the opportunity to meet the rest of his family. We had a really fun time with his family. They are great!
Did ya'll hear the story about our wedding bands? Gary and I are making wedding bands for each other...out of coins! It turns out that coins from 1964 or earlier are made completely out of sterling silver. Gary's dad made a ring out of a quarter for his mom when he was young and asked her to marry him with it and that's what we're doing for each other. I'm making Gary's out of a 1964 half dollar and Gary is making mine out of a 1964 quarter. How you may ask... Well, let me tell you. You take a spoon and tap on the edges of the coin for a LONG time until the coin is the size you want it. After that, you drill out the middle and then sand it down a little bit to smooth it out and then it's done! So, I have to admit, Gary's brother and brother in-law really helped out a TON! We took them with us to Kentucky and they were really no where close to being done. They took those coins and pretty much got them down to size before the reunion was over! Right now, Gary's brother has them and said he'd drill them out and finish them off. I'm excited to see them when he comes out for the wedding. I posted a before picture and a picture of what they looked like when we left them in Kentucky.

Last weekend my family went down to Vegas for a little 'reunion'/get away. It was a PERFECT opportunity for me to work on my 'wedding tan' and take a break from wedding planning. Gary and I had fun together and look forward to going back this weekend!!! We went to Lake Mead for a day, ate at the Cheesecake Factory, went to a show, and played for hours and hours at the pool. It was a nice little trip but probably was taken at the wrong time! I'm looking forward to posting a new one next week with all the details and pictures from the wedding! (Sorry, I had WAY more pictures to post, but it's not letting me do that tonight)
