I LOVE LOVE LOVE July, but...

...there is one BIG HUGE reason I'm not so much loving July this year. Reason being that I'm a single wife for the next seven weeks. That's right folks, SEVEN WEEKS! Ugh. It's been ONE day and I'm already dying. Friday night at 9:00pm, Gary and I pulled out and started on our ten hour drive down to Arizona where he will be doing an internship. We actually took turns sleeping and driving and made pretty good time, except for those couple times neither of us felt like we could drive any more so we pulled over and slept for an hour or so. No running out of gas this time!!! Saturday we went and hung out with Gary's brother, Brad, and his family...including a brand new little cute baby, Ava. We went swimming:::Ahhh:::did I mention that it was ONE HUNDRED ELEVEN DEGREES? FABULOUS! I LOVE the heat, one of the big reasons why I normally love July. After our swimming, we showered and got ready and went out to eat at this SUPER WAY FUN restaurant. I don't even know if they could call themselves a restaurant, it was THAT cool! Check this picture out...

So, this sort of gives you an idea. I guess the idea of this place is to give you the feeling of camping out without the camping out. The place is OUTDOORS (something you could only do somewhere like AZ right?) which makes it that much cooler! It sort of reminds me of wagon trains all in a circle. There is a building (the one in the picture) where you go in and order your food. A small sitting area in there if you want to 'dine in' or you can pick your food up when it's ready and take it to a table outside. And all around there are other buildings, a bar, pool hall, a stage and dance floor (the left hand side of the picture), and a few other buildings in a circle but it's all the same place. Also, scattered all over out there are a bunch of little fires so you can roast marshmallows. So cool. I tried to take some other pictures, but they have misters going all over (yet another very cool thing about this place) and every picture I took was just mist. Did I mention that the food was fabulous as well?!? Let me suggest the Flat Iron Steak for those of you who will actually try it out!

I'm with the good looking one at the end of the table!! Can you tell which two are brothers?? Check out the yummy food!!

Because this was a bit of a rough trip (being that I was going to be flying home without Gary), Gary and I went out on Sunday night and 'had a moment' - He was cute. He took me to the very spot that he first told me he loved me and told me all over again. I know!!! Isn't he cute?!?

I love you Garbo!!! Come home quick ok? I miss you too much!

Wow that place looks so cool! Isn't it funny how we go our whole lives being single and independant...and then suddenly we come to rely so heavily on having that one person around that it just SUCKS when they are gone?!?!?! I feel your pain lady! Come visit me while he's away! :)

7 weeks? That stinks! But, just think of all the stuff you can get done when you are by yourself? Do lots of girly stuff, and enjoy it! Then, you'll enjoy it even more when he returns! Good luck!

You want to keep busy? I've got a closet I need to go through, as well as a bunch of junk I'm just too darn afraid to throw out! Plus, there's always the Canadian Cooler with fun treats...
