...and quite frankly I'd rather be IN the air but since I'm not, put me in a pool! I'm on my way to Salt Lake City for a week and had a lay-over in Phoenix. Love the city, not the air port. During my TWO hour stay here, the lady announces over the speaker that our plane is delayed and will actually be leaving at 9:25 pm instead of 8:10 pm. Sure, go ahead and just add another hour to that already long lay-over! She then proceeds to tell us that the air plane that we were supposed to take has some 'technical problems' and so they're going to have us board a different plane that we're all waiting for. Not kidding, by the time five minutes had passed since that announcement I heard THREE other plane delay announcements all for the SAME airline. Now I'm wondering if that whole technical plane delay was just an excuse. Should I be mad it's taking so long or scared to get on this plane?!?

ok, SERIOUSLY, you are not crazy. Remember about a year ago when Lyle and I were stuck at the pheonix airport on a layover to sacramento and we were 2 hours LATE to our OWN RECEPTION?! Yep...we missed our own reception because sw made us so late. It was the same problem. We boarded...then they deplaned us and gave us "numbers" to hold on to that I could have given any "crazy" to get back on that plane (not very safe and secure). Then we waited and waited and then we switched planes at a different terminal. It was quite the experience. Lately I have also realized that us airways is just as annoying as I was traveling back from Texas (via north carolina) and got stuck ON a plane for an hour WITHOUT heat IN JULY. I almost started to cry out of fear of suffocation...and that was AFTER we had waited over an hour for our late plane and had switched terminals as well. Planes...they are a necessary evil of traveling sometimes. I fly way to frequently to really complain, so most of the time I don't, but when I do, man, I get FIRED UP.
p.s. how the heck did you post whilst at the airport? Did you bring your laptop and pay for wireless?
I feel your pain Tara. We had to wait for 5 hours in the Denver airport on our way to Florida in February because our connecting flight didn't wait for us. And definitely don't be scared to get on the plane. "Technical problems" is always an excuse!!! Can't wait to see you.
Oh man, makes me excited for all of the traveling I have coming up next week! I hope I don't get stuck in the airport forever! Why are you going to Salt Lake? You are everywhere this summer!
You are in so much trouble for not calling us. :) We would have gladly made a trip over to the airport to hang out with you for a little bit. We could have brought you an Horchata smoothie from QT.
