More Thanksgiving...

I'm pretty sure we win the prize for the furthest DRIVE for Thanksgiving! 1200 miles, give or take a few...(I actually think it's 'give' a few). Gary and I drove to Kentucky. It took us 24 hours to get there and 24 hours to get home. That would be about a 18.5 drive with about 5 hours of sleep and a few fill-ups. As long as that drive was, the trip was WELL worth it! Thursday morning bright and early (like 7:30 AM) guys started showing up on the Fears front yard to play football.Yes, that's the FRONT yard! Oh how would it be to have some grass! While they played, Gary's mom and I worked on the dinner...It was fabulous and well worth the work! This is licking the plate after inhaling some of Peggy's Chocolate Roll. Divine!Chilaxin after the dinner. I'm pretty sure I ate my weight in food. Literally!I should have taken more pictures of family. This is Gary's NEPHEW! I still get a crack out of the fact that Gary has nephews that are basically his same age! I guess that's what you get when you're the youngest of ten kids, right?Look at these cute girls! The baby is a "great-grandchild" in the Fears home. Another CRAZY thought! And the older one isn't actually a Fears. Her Dad, Steve (in the "weed-ball" pictures up top) was one of Gary's really really good friends in High School! It was fun to finally meet him and his family. I'd heard so many stories about Steve. Hopefully we'll stay in better touch now!
