Today marks THREE

Three wonderful years of wedded bliss! We just got back from a fun little trip to celebrate...which I'll blog about soon! Our wedding day was one of the best days of my life, not just because it was such a fun day but because since that day, I've been able to share every day with my best friend in the whole wide world! Just this past week we were talking and both agreed at how amazed we still are each day at how awesome it is to have each other to go through everything together. You think you love each other as much as you possibly can when you get married, but looking back...it was nothing compared to how much I love Gary today!

I'm sure many of you passed your three year mark a few years ago, but I can't believe it's already been three years for Gary and I. Gary is such an excellent husband and I just know he'll be an amazing father. I think we really compliment each other nicely...he fills my many weak gaps and helps me to be a better person in so many ways. I'm SO lucky. There isn't anyone else in this world I'd rather go through life with than Gary.

So sorry to keep you waiting...life has not slowed down for me one bit.

Allow me to introduce you to...

the BOY!

Lovingly referred to as "Squirt" "Kid" "Pooch" or whatever else we feel like calling him. Of course, there have been no names finalized or anything yet...I mean, we are only half way there.

It's a...

...mean joke. But at least you know what I'm thinking about today. We have an ultrasound tomorrow where we'll hopefully find out what this baby is. As for now, feel free to let me know what YOU think this little squirt is...not that you would know anyhow but it's still fun, right?

Current Experiences:

Having to go to the washroom about 45 times a day only to figure out that there is literally NOTHING (or close to it) in there! What a bother.

Feeling the Baby kicking. What a crazy feeling it is for a first time Mom. I'm loving it!

Food Cravings:

I haven't really had too many cravings and nothing too strange. Just a few things that I eat EVERY SINGLE DAY (you'd think I'd get sick of these things right?)

-Cherries - I've eaten my WEIGHT in cherries this past week and can't stop!

-Quesadillas - at LEAST 2 but usually more like 3 a day. Lunch and dinner and I even wake up thinking about making them for breakfast but at least have a LITTLE self control.

-Green Lettuce Salad & Ranch - can NOT get enough of that cold lettuce.

Running...I'm short on time in the mornings so I walk three times a week and run the other three days. Let me tell you...It takes me my first mile just to feel like I'm no longer running with 10 pound weights around my ankles AND pulling a TRAIN behind me. If I can push through it, then the second mile starts to feel like a 'normal' first mile. After that, the next two miles are pretty good, IF I can talk myself into putting up with the first two, which I don't always win that battle. I'm thinking seriously about implementing some lap swimming into this routine, but can't think too long and hard about getting in a bathing suit...a SPEEDO? What would I wear?

Poochy Belly is POOCHED...It's officially starting to LOOK like I'm pregnant. Well, not to the rest of the world, they all just think I've got a big chubby belly. But, me and baby, we know what it REALLY is! :) No pictures yet, because...I, um, lost our camera. Or, I'd like to say that someone STOLE our camera...sounds much better, right? We bought another one (it's in the mail) and I'm sure that as soon as this new one comes, we'll find the old one. Or, I mean, the person who stole it will feel bad and kindly return it. Grrr!

July 4th Festivities

Well, once again, I did a LAME job of taking pictures on our trip and I'm SO mad at myself. I don't even have an excuse, my camera was in my bag on my shoulder the WHOLE TIME!

Gary and I took off up to Utah Thursday and had a really fun time celebrating and spending time with our family! Luckily, Ryan and Jess were visiting from Canada the same time so we all got to be together for the weekend!

Friday morning we went to a burial of my cousin's little baby. It was such a wonderful burial and I'm glad we actually were able to be there for it.

This is Haley. She saw me for the first time since our arrival at the burial and nearly jumped out of her dress as she RAN over to hug me...during the program. It was cute. We were little buddies this trip. She's getting so old!! (And, it was her Birthday this day as well!)After the program, we gathered at my parent's house for a little birthday celebration for Haley. We sang Happy Birthday a couple times, had cake and ice cream and then Haley opened up some presents. After all of that, I broke out some Crackers that I had made on our way up. This is a tradition from my childhood. Every Christmas Dinner, one of these would be on every one's plate and we'd all open them up at the same time before dinner. So when I saw on someones blog how to make them yourself...you bet I was all over that!We all pulled them open at the same time I filled them with Starburst and a little note. Of course, the REAL reason I made them was that I thought it would be a fun way to make a little announcement...So, after we pulled the Crackers, everyone went for all the Starburst all over the floor and it took them a while to actually pick up the note and read it...I think Jason was the first one to pick it up. As soon as he read the little note attached to the ultrasound he started freaking out and tried to unroll the ultrasound picture as fast as he could to confirm his suspicions. I have to admit, it was really fun to tell my family. I was worried that it wouldn't be as exciting to tell them as it was for us when we found out, but it was almost even better! After we told our family, we went to a BBQ with Gary's family and to share more of our fun Crackers with them too! I actually got a video this time...same thing happened, all the kids went for the candy and it took a while for someone to even read the note. Thank goodness Alexa got curious!

July 4th Freedom Run - Gary and I have ran the Freedom Run every year since we met...we LOVE running it and want to run it EVERY year!

Here is little Austin. The youngest of the Salmon Grandkids. He too is getting so big! And has the cutest smile you've ever seen!

Of course you can't celebrate July 4th without some swimming...right?

Later that night, Gary and I met his family to watch the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire while we played with some of our own! (I need to get these pictures from you Sarah)

And now we're back home...and I'm really bugged that I did not get very many pictures of our fun weekend. I guess we'll just have to go visit again soon.
