Half way to 1 already?

I've always thought that all of my friends' cute little kids grew SO fast! I mean, I've got friends who's kids are already in elementary school! I held them when they were just days old! How does time fly to quickly?

Everyone told me when I was pregnant to 'enjoy every minute because it goes SO fast!' which I had already witnessed with my friends' babies and have tried so hard to do. But NEVER did anyone tell me that it goes twice as fast with your own! I've loved every minute of my time with my little side kick. He's the happiest, most easy going, even tempered little baby and I just LOVE that he's mine! But, I can't believe he's six month old already! Can we rewind time a little bit? Break out the DVR on life? Record, but go back and watch and enjoy it again? Hasn't anyone figured that out yet?!? As much as I miss each stage as it quickly passes, I'm in love with
Sam's new stage as well, which is causing great conflict inside my head! I try not to spend too much of my time missing the old stage and just focusing on enjoying the new stage but before I know it, that stage is over and he's onto something new!

One thing I know for sure, I still get butterflies just watching him sleep. I get giddy when I hear him waking up because it means we get to play! And I'm SO grateful that I have one of these little things! What would my life be like without him? I don't even want to know.

His latest thing is playing with his paci. He likes to wrap his lips around the whole thing, or as seen in these two pictures, he'll bring his bottom lip out and suck on the nipple AND the bottom of the pacifier. Of course, we think it's cute and funny and take pictures...This was while waiting at the Dr. office for his six month check-up. He's weighing in at 17.4 pounds and is in the 50% for his lenght and weight. His head is a little smaller and he's in the 25% for that but Doc isn't worries because he's growing at a steady rate. Now, those darn shots...those things break my heart!
He loves to sleep with his feet up. Either suspended in the air or propped up on the side of his crib. Notice the blanket over his face, yeah, that too.

I know I haven't had a chance to meet this guy in person yet, but he's one of my favorites! I can't believe he's 6 months old! Keep cherishing every moment, because someday you'll have another one and you'll have less time to just sit and stare. It just keeps going faster and faster, but you're a good little mommy. That Sam is a lucky boy!

He's so cute Tara. And yes, seriously the most even tempered little baby I've ever met. You're lucky!
