Another trip to Utah

There was this AWESOME seat sale with Southwest a while back. We're talking C.H.E.A.P so naturally, I couldn't pass up a good deal. I had no reason to go to Utah to visit family except that these tickets were such a good deal. Luckily it worked out that the sale overlapped when my Sister in-law was due. Talk about perfect timing, I got there the day after she was born! We celebrated Annie's birthday. Annie is my soon to be sister in-law number five. We're excited for the up and coming wedding!

My trip also overlapped with Mother's Day. Actually, it was my Mother's Day gift...Thanks Gary! At church I saw Malia...who grew up next door to me. She had her baby, Owen, just two weeks after Sam. So, every time we see each other we get talking about our boys. I'm thinking he might be a tall one, look at his Momma! :) Poor Sam, doesn't have much of a chance with my genetics.

Auntie Channy getting some snuggle time in

Auntie Carol. Sam likes her!
Lincoln and Chandra REALLY wanted to make Creme Brule one night and even asked me to bring my torch. For some reason, I got all freaked out that it would explode or something on the plane so I decided to leave it at home and maybe Lincoln would forget. Well, Lincoln doesn't forget about food. So, we went out and bought one for him and made LOTS of Creme Brule. He ALMOST didn't even share with the family when they were over one night. Lucky for everyone else, he broke out the creme brule and rationed it off cautiously. It was divine! We used Jessica's recipe...we were sad they weren't there to share in the fun!Dallin, Chandra, Mom and I went to lunch one day at this really yummy, cute new place called Molly's. I have a thing for taking pictures of Mullets...and there just so happened to be one sitting next to us. So, Dallin and Chandra posed for the picture (but really so I could get that mullet) and HELLO! Dallin is full on pointing at her!Sam's first encounter with something other than Rice Cereal. Peas...he really didn't like them so much. In fact, this was his face with every.single.bite. He's liked everything else I've given him but those darn peas are just killing him! I'll keep trying...
Sam has always seemed to enjoy his baths, he's never once cried except for during those sponge baths when he was a newborn. (you mean he's not a newborn anymore? Man, time flies!) So, Gary and I were super excited to take him swimming for the first time. Why are these things SO exciting to new parents? It's not like the kid even really knew what he was doing...we were loving it though and of course thought he was so dang cute!
Gary was taking a few pictures and then the lifeguard told him he couldn't take any pictures...so this is all you get.
Well, just another one here, Gary snuck out the camera and hid it under a towel, the lifeguard was TOTALLY watching and I'm sure it was more obviously than anything that he was trying to hide the camera. Ha! We got a picture anyhow.
We just got a Five Guys here in ABQ so after swimming, we decided to go. Sam always wants what we're eating...but for obvious reasons can't have any. But I decided to give him some of my sprite...kidding! It was water but he was loving it. I think he liked the straw most of all.I have thousands of pictures of Sam sleeping. Why? I don't know. Other than the fact that his cute little quirks are evident even when he's sleeping. Such as, his leg totally hanging in the air, how funny. And that little blanket, he really likes it but it doesn't matter WHAT it is, he likes to pull a blanket or burp cloth over his face and he'll even stick it in his mouth (especially when he's sad). It's hilarious! I really need to get it on video for you to see.
Sam sits!!! And loves this ugly mirror we have in our hallway! The other day he was sitting there and his soother was sitting in his lap and he tried to reach through the mirror to pick it up. So funny!!!

Another sleeping picture of Sam with his four favorite things. A {clean} diaper, his soother, blanket, and a burp cloth. Usually any one of those items will keep him happy for a long long time. Long enough to fall asleep! :)
Another one because I think he's so cute!
Oh wait, one more!
