Is it normal to have a child and take over 800 pictures of the kid in the first month of his life? The thing that cracks me up the most is that EVERY PICTURE IS THE SAME! I mean, let's be realistic here...he spends 95% of the time sleeping and the rest eating. So, chances are, his eyes are closed in any picture we take...Sambo, Gary and I ventured out this morning for the first run since well...just before Sam was born. Whew, I've got a long way to go! But I sure did enjoy it. Except for the part where I tripped on the sidewalk and totally fell and rolled...kind of embarrassing.

A MONTH?!?
It's already been a month since Sam became a part of our family. While I can't remember what it was ever like without him, I also can't believe it's already been a month! It can't have been that long! He's already changed so much...I'm sure I'll be saying that a ton in the future. Right?
Three days after Sam was born, we packed the truck and drove to Utah. Call me crazy...I do...but I had my mind made up before this child was born "I would be in Utah for Christmas" - I figured, if I'm going to be in bed recovering, I might as well be in bed in Utah...and that's basically all I did while I was there...saw some family and chilled in bed or on the couch (and diapered and fed the adorable child). It wasn't really the trip to be visiting with friends, although I desperately wanted to see ALL of you! You all understand, right? I'll be back! Promise.
OK, here's what you've been asking me for...pictures to prove just how cute this little man is!
This is Gary and Sam...Sam is one week old here. During Christmas we went to Temple Square for some light action...a tradition I LOVE!

Need your help

Baby Update: I went to the Doctor yesterday. He walked in the room and said "Now, I bet you're about ready to do anything to get this baby about now out aren't you?" and I said "Nope, this kid can't come until the 15th when my Mom comes" - He laughed out loud and said I was the first who has ever answered him with a "NO, I'm not ready" at 38.7 weeks. But after the {fun} appointment, he said he was pretty sure this kid isn't going anywhere for at least another week. Whew! (Of course, Doctors HAVE been known to be wrong a time or two. We shall see!)
